Today is a very sad day for the Capobres/Salcedo family, we lost our loving Grandmother who is the foundation for all of us. She was one very incredible women and she will be missed and lived one incredible life. It’s been pretty rough for her since Thanksgiving and she passed away today (Dec. 22) at 7:15 am at the age of 97. My mother, Uncle Danny (her son), and myself were all with her. The hospice nurse Janet was incredible and we couldn’t have asked for someone better to help provide hospice care for Grandma Peday. Below are 2 pictures, one of Grandma and the other of the family she brought into this world.

So we had our annual Napa Valley Christmas party this weekend at the Blunt’s. For those of you who didn’t know, I grew up in the Napa Valley and have a lot of close friend’s still living there. Anyways, it was great to see everyone again, our friend’s the Castillo’s couldn’t make it this year since Rob had a bball game and their daughter Maya was sick. I swear the kids are growing like bean stalks and I’m definitely getting older

I ended up returning my 5D, it was a great camera, but it was more than I needed. I think I’m getting too practical in my old age. I figured for the price, I could get a 50D and a new lens, but I got 2 new lenses
. Anyways, here’s some test shots (click on Parker’s photo) and I’m VERY happy with the decision. The 50D is an incredible camera and the LCD screen is so detailed.
Picked this up at Fry’s tonight, it’s an awesome camera (Canon 5D, if you didn’t figure it out from the title). Everything was taken at 1600 ISO, with no flash. I love having the full-frame, check out the test pics… Keep in mind some pics are slightly out of focus, I don’t have the steadiess of hands, but some of the pics of Tobi are AWESOME! :) Click on this picture below to see the set.
BTW X-mas came early this year
